Ammalan joined Signia in 2011 as Chief Risk Officer and is now the Co-Head of Multi-Asset Investments. He has 20 years of experience in the investment industry and is currently jointly responsible for investment oversight of all mandates managed by the multi-asset team. Additionally he is responsible for contributing towards the team’s macroeconomic views and multi-asset portfolio positioning and construction.
Previously he worked for Martello Capital Management, a structured credit asset management business and London Diversified Fund Management, a global macro hedge fund, where he risk managed products across various asset classes and held a key role in developing the risk management methodologies, framework and reports.
He is a qualified accountant and began his career at Ernst & Young in the International Capital Markets Group and Financial Risk Management Group.
Ammalan is a member of Signia’s Product Approval Committee, Fund Selection Committee and Asset Allocation Committee.
Assad joined Signia in November 2014 as a Senior Portfolio Manager for trading, structuring and managing clients’ portfolios. Prior to 2014, he was Head Trader at Matchpoint Investment Management and a Trader at Modal Capital, Credit Suisse’s Internal Hedge Fund and Credit Suisse’s Internal Proprietary Trading desk. Assad began his career as an Analyst on the JPMorgan Graduate Programme.
Sporting activities and in particular golf and cricket, are a passion for Assad.

Carnegie has led Signia since the beginning of 2015. He drives the strategy of the business while also focusing on day-to-day management. Carnegie originally joined Signia in 2011 before leaving to set up Squared Investments, an investment management company advising entrepreneurs and their families.
He returned to Signia in 2015 as CEO, drawing on the wealth of experience and knowledge that give him a deep insight into the needs of clients. His areas of experience range from investment management to hedge funds as well as opportunistic investments in private equity.
His earlier experience at Deloitte LLP meant that he advised ultra-high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and high profile sports and media clients on multi-jurisdictional tax and corporate advisory issues.
He shows a personal commitment to cycling, sport and raising money for charities, particularly when the activities can be combined.

Chelsea joined Signia in 2015 and as Head of HR, she is responsible for shaping and driving Signia’s HR strategy. Chelsea has a variety of experience covering the areas of Executive Assistance, People Management and Human Resource Management. In addition to the HR function, Chelsea is responsible for the effective management of Signia’s business support, project management and events. She also recently successfully completed Signia’s re-brand initiative.
Prior to Signia, Chelsea spent 5 years at Argent Rehabilitation where she managed a large team, and was involved in the businesses wider planning and growth strategies as well as taking the lead on the HR function within a matrix structure.
Chelsea was born on the Gold Coast and moved from Australia to the UK in 2008. She enjoys live music and travelling, and has a keen interest in sewing and fashion design.

Derek Zissman has over 30 years experience as a partner in KPMG and vice chairman of the UK firm. He joined Signia as a Non-Executive Director in 2015. During his time at KPMG, he was a founding partner of UK’s corporate finance group and private equity groups in the UK and USA.
Since retiring from KPMG in 2008, he has held directorships on boards and advisory boards including Alchemy Partners, Barclays Wealth & Investment Management and Seymour Pierce. He currently holds a number of board positions and chairs the audit committees of companies operating in the IT solutions, leisure, water solutions and engineering sectors.
Florence joined Signia in 2017 and her role is receptionist and front of house, whilst she also provides assistance to the team. Prior to joining Signia, Florence worked for De Vere Venues as a front of house co-ordinator, where her role was to manage booking events and manage client relationships. She has a degree from Nottingham Trent University in History.
Outside of work, Florence enjoys going to the gym and attending the theatre. She is also a very keen reader.
Grégoire joined Signia in 2014 to assist in the management of client portfolios, trading and research. Prior to 2014 he was on the graduate training programme at BNP Paribas Investment Partners with the fixed income boutique, Fisher Francis Trees & Watts.
Before moving into the finance industry, Grégoire worked in the oil and gas industry following his electrical and electronics undergraduate degree from Imperial College.
His interests outside of work lie in music and outdoor activities. He enjoys playing the piano, the guitar and to his neighbours’ delight he his learning to play the trumpet! He also enjoys sailing, mountaineering, playing football, skiing, judo and is passionate about travelling and photography.

Greg became one of Signia’s new management team in January 2015. He is responsible for maintaining and developing the firm’s key client relationships in his central role of wealth management. He originally joined Signia in 2010 then left to set up Squared Investments, before re-joining Signia in 2015. Greg has in-depth experience of advising across global multi-asset portfolios, including hedge funds and opportunistic investments in private equity.
Prior to 2010, Greg worked at Arbuthnot Latham as a private banker where he advised clients across their investments as well as sourcing credit.
He believes that work should be meaningful as well as enjoyable, so he is involved in many sporting and charitable activities.

Janet Tarbet joined in 2013 as Signia’s Chief Operating Officer. She has responsibility for operations both on the investment and client side of the business and oversight of compliance, risk and finance functions. In addition, she recently completed the Signia re-brand and works closely with Signia’s PR firm.
Prior to joining Signia, Janet was Director at Coutts & Co, where she managed a portfolio of high net worth clients in the Entrepreneur sector. She was actively involved in the women’s initiative and organised many successful events. During her 14 years at Coutts, she led successful teams of private bankers and held various senior management positions across the business.
Janet is a keen runner and has completed many half marathons and participated in the London Marathon in 2017 to raise money for charity. She enjoys live music, cinema, theatre and loves travelling.
Jie joined Signia in 2013 as a Senior Analyst and her key responsibility is Signia’s equity fund selection. She manages the current equity funds approved list, providing fund buy/sell and model portfolio construction recommendations and maintains the ongoing due diligence. She also covers alternative asset classes.
Prior to Signia, Jie spent almost 4 years at Morningstar in China, focusing on fund analysis in China and US markets. She was also responsible for global fund industry research and provided consultancy to Chinese financial regulatory authorities and local asset management firms. Prior to joining Morningstar, she worked at China Everbright Bank.
Jie is keen on travelling, art and photography. She is also an active volunteer for CFA Institute.

Jin joined Signia in 2014 as a Hedge Fund Analyst having completed an internship at the firm. He provides support to the portfolio manager in hedge fund analysis and portfolio construction using quantitative techniques. He is also responsible for building and maintaining hedge fund databases and statistical tools, in addition to producing client reports and presentations.
Outside of work, he has deep interest in game theory and turn-based strategy games such as Poker, Prismata and Settlers of Catan.

Kara joined Signia in 2016 and her role is receptionist and front of house, whilst she also provides assistance to the team. Prior to joining Signia, Kara has held several similar roles and during 2016, she taught English in Thailand for 3 months and gained her TEFL qualification.
Kara is keen on health and fitness and is a passionate reader of all types of literature. She enjoys helping others and amongst her charitable work, she spends her Christmas Day helping at a homeless centre for Crisis.
Kirin joined Signia in 2010 and as General Counsel she is responsible for overseeing all legal matters related to the firm. Kirin trained and qualified as a solicitor at Pinsent Masons (Formerly McGrigors LLP) where she spent 5 years in their London office. Having qualified into the Corporate team, Kirin has experience in a wide range of corporate matters including M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions. During this time Kirin was also seconded to O2 for 6 months before joining Signia the following year.
Prior to McGrigors Kirin worked as a paralegal with the M&A team at Freshfields LLP.

Kate joined Signia in 2010 when the company was founded. In her compliance role, Kate’s key responsibility is to proactively identify, evaluate and mitigate the firm’s regulatory and reputational risks and to ensure the firm has a robust Compliance framework. Prior to 2010, Kate worked at HSBC Private Bank, as Head of Client Services in the UK where her focus was to ensure successful outcomes for clients with a continued world class service.
She previously worked as an Analyst at JPMorgan Private Bank for 6 years in the UK UHNW team and then joined Coutts in the newly formed Private Office servicing UHNW clients.
Kate is passionate about her heritage and her South African origin and she endeavours to travel home at least once a year to visit her family. Kate is a member of Signia’s Product Approval Committee.
Michael is the Chief Investment Officer of Signia with responsibility for all of the firm's investments across the Hedge Fund and Multi-Asset portfolios.
Michael has twenty years of investment management experience and has managed assets across US, Europe, Japan and Asia Pacific. Michael joined Signia in 2013 from Amundi Alternative Asset Management, the hedge fund subsidiary of SocGen/Credit Agricole, where he was Global Co-Head of Investment and Head of the firm’s London office. During Michael’s eleven year tenure at Amundi, hedge fund assets under management grew from $1.2 billion to $28 billion, with the business becoming one of the top five European hedge fund investors.
Prior to Amundi, Michael spent five years at JPMorgan Investment Management where he was a Portfolio Manager managing Asian Equity portfolios and a Japan Long Short Equity Hedge Fund.
Michael is a member of the Executive committee.
Paul Lester became Chairman of Signia in January 2014 and has been instrumental in the restructuring of the firm’s strategy. He is a leading industrialist and an experienced Chairman for 6 years. His current chairs include organisations: John Laing Infrastructure Fund (FTSE 250), Essentra (FTSE 250), Forrtera (FTSE 350) and Knight Square (private equity backed).
From 2002 to 2010, Paul was Chief Executive Officer of VT Group plc, the support services company. Paul also held the position of Group Managing Director of Balfour Beatty, Chief Executive of Graseby plc, and senior management positions at Schlumberger and the Dowty Group plc. Previously, Paul served as a Non-Executive Director of Invensys (FTSE 100) and President of the Society of Maritime Industries, the BSA and the EEF.
He is a passionate about sport and in particular football and is a lifetime West Bromwich Albion supporter.

Philippe is a Senior Advisor at Signia. He combines 15 years of experience in investment banking (capital markets and structured finance) and investment management (portfolio manager and private equity investor) in the UK and Switzerland. His most recent roles have been working as a senior banker at Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management and Barclays Key Clients & Family Offices team, advising large families on all their wealth management and capital allocation requirements.
Richard is a founding member of Signia Wealth and joined as Client Director in 2010. His key role is to manage client relationships and he has in-depth experience of advising on global multi-asset portfolios and cash management solutions for successful entrepreneurs and their families both in the UK and overseas.
Prior to 2010, he was a Private Banker at Coutts & Co, London for 5 years with responsibility for International clients, focusing on UK resident non-domiciled individuals and their tax efficient wealth structuring requirements.
Prior to Coutts he spent time working for a successful internet company in Glasgow.

Robert joined shortly after Signia was founded in 2010 and is now Co-Head of Multi-Asset Investments. He has 12 years’ experience as a portfolio manager and fixed income specialist covering global fixed income and multi-asset portfolios. He is jointly responsible for the investment oversight of all mandates managed by the multi-asset team with responsibility and contribution to the investment team’s macroeconomic views, multi-asset portfolio positioning and construction of portfolios.
Robert has managed both the Signia Global Fixed Income Aggregate and Global Fixed Income Credit strategies since inception and is responsible for managing the fixed income allocation of the multi-asset portfolios.
Prior to joining Signia, he worked for Coutts & Co where he was a member of the foreign exchange and fixed income selection committee, responsible for developed market foreign exchange crosses and the management of UK Gilt model portfolios. He was also responsible for managing global advisory and discretionary multi-asset portfolios for Ultra High Net Worth clients.
Robert enjoys travelling and keeping fit, and has a keen interest in food and cooking.
Robert joined Signia as a Risk Anaylst in December 2015. His role is to monitor portfolio exposures and risk statistics as well as maintaining the model portfolios. Prior to this, he completed an internship in Risk Analytics at Citigroup.
Robert is passionate about live theatre and visits once a week. He is also a keen reader of both fiction and non-fiction.

Thomas joined Signia in April 2017 to assist in the management of client portfolios, trading and investment research. Prior to joining Signia, he worked on the multi-asset team at Russell Investments, supporting portfolio managers with their day to day management of funds and carrying out macroeconomic analysis. He also undertook a 12 month internship at Société Générale within their hedge fund team between his penultimate and final year of study.
His interests outside of work lie in sport and following the development of economies around the world. Specifically in sport, he has competed in swimming competitions across the UK and enjoys playing golf and tennis.
Tim joined Signia in 2014 as Finance Director. He is responsible for all aspects of the back-office finance department, including financial, management and regulatory reporting and maintaining control over financial operations.
Prior to 2014, Tim spent 3 years with UBS AG, in Sydney Australia, managing a cross-divisional team covering a spectrum of finance requirements, including wealth management and investment banking product control, financial operations, logistics and costs. Previously, he spent 5 years with Nomura Code Securities as their Financial Controller with key responsibility for financial & management analysis, middle office & settlements and compliance.
When Tim is not working; he enjoys spending time with his family, socialising and staying fit and healthy. He is passionate about visiting new countries and experiencing different cultures.
